Usually blogs like this include some subtle undertones about how cool you’ll be if you join “A Day Without…”
Maybe something like this (an everyday hipster chillin’ in some shrubbery).
There would be clever slogans like, “Let’s go without so children in Liberia don’t have to go without food” or “Join us because $5 not only empowers a child, but because it empowers you too.”
There might even be a picture of an adorable animal campaigning for the cause, like this:
Or some startling statistics like, “45% of child deaths are due to undernutrition“—paired with a picture of the cutest child you’ve ever seen eating fortified porridge like a boss.
But, we’re not going to do any of that.
Because using $5 to feed a child in Liberia for the entire month just makes sense. And you’re sensible people. So take the $5 you would have spent on a latte (or tea or cd from that band that nobody’s ever heard of) and feed a child: www.lattelosers.com
Oh and here’s a bonus picture of Maverick, because you deserve it.
