My name is Ashley Hentrich, and I live in Albany, New York. I am married to my wonderful husband Jonathan, who is the Associate Pastor at our local church. We have a beautiful baby girl named Mariana who was born in the fall of 2011. Since Jonathan and I married in 2003, we have sought out ways to serve the world around us. We took our first VisionTrust trip to Cruz Blanca, Guatemala in 2010. When we saw the incredible need in that village, we knew that God was opening a door for amazing opportunities. Upon returning home, I dedicated myself to promoting advocacy for the children of Cruz Blanca in our church community. Over the past few years, Christ’s Church has ministered to the children and families of Cruz Blanca in incredible ways. We have sponsored about 60 children, installed 120 clean air stoves and water filters for Cruz Blanca families, and lead educational programs for both the teachers and the children of VisionTrust Guatemala. I have seen firsthand the life-change that has occurred in both the village of Cruz Blanca and my own church community through our work with VisionTrust. As the VisionTrust Advocacy Coach for Church Partnerships, I am so excited to work alongside other churches as they invest in a VisionTrust project and share God’s goodness and grace with those who need to experience His love, both in here and abroad.
