Ashlee Kennedy works in our home office in Colorado Springs, CO. She was kind enough to share what God’s been teaching her in a blog today.
I’ve recently been reminded of God’s faithfulness in many different aspects of my life. Being able to work and serve at VisionTrust has truly been an answer to prayer.
Throughout my life I’ve had the privilege to travel and see the world around me. I’ve fallen in love with other cultures and the people that I’ve met along the way and I’ve also seen a lot of poverty, hurt and injustice. Through these experiences and the pain in my own life, God has given me a passion to help love those who are hurting.
Over the past few months I’ve been reading through my old journal entries and prayers. After I finished my undergrad I was trying to figure out what the next step of my life was going to look like. Honestly, it was a huge struggle and burden to try and figure out where God was calling me next. Today, as I look at where I am, it’s exactly what I was praying for two years ago. I’m able to use the gifts God has given me combined with a passion for people and traveling to help orphaned and neglected children around the world. It’s been a great reminder to continue to pursue my passions and use gifts to bless others because God is faithful and will do more than I expect. I pray His faithfulness continues to break down my expectations and yours as we pursue our passion to help these children together.
