Thizar is a 13-year-old girl from a remote village in Myanmar. She comes from a poor family and because of their financial difficulties, Thizar rarely lived with her family in their hometown. Her parents often had to work in neighboring villages while she worked as a domestic helper with a few households and rarely had the chance to attend school.
In May 2008, Thizar lost her entire family to Cyclone Nargis.
Fortunately, she was brought to a VisionTrust home. At the home, Thizar was able to attend school regularly and participate in activities. Through her participation, she grew in her personal development and spiritual walk with God. Today, she is a big sister to many of the younger children at the home and also serves as a praise and worship leader.
Thizar believes that God’s grace has saved from Cyclone Nargis and brought her to the VisionTrust home. She strives to be a faithful disciple for Him, and to serve him diligently in His house. She believes that God has a greater purpose for her, and is looking forward, with excitement, for her future in Christ to unveil.
