We have an exciting update from our work in Liberia! VisionTrust is currently serving 2,085 kids in eight locations throughout Liberia. The exciting news comes from Liberty Baptist Christian School, located in a village called Dumbar. In this particular program, we are serving roughly 280 impoverished children and orphans. These children have been in great need for a larger school—all 280 of them have been cramming into a small thatch building with a dirt floor (pictured above).
The good news is that there is an awesome group of friends in Littleton, CO, that partners with this program and have raised the funds needed to start the construction of the new building! Robert (the VisionTrust Liberia Director) and his team have started the construction. You can see the foundation and walls being built in the photo below!
This new, larger building will provide an atmosphere where the kids can thrive by receiving the education they need. The community and kids are so excited to have a better space to learn and grow! Praise God!
