Mathan Jebaraj and his wife Adeline have a huge heart for the children of VisionTrust. When they first heard about VisionTrust through their local church in Upstate New York, they decided to sponsor two children from Guatemala, Frank and Lidia.
After learning that VisionTrust also ministers to children in their home country of India, Mathan and Adeline felt God leading them to sponsor two more children, Guna & Giri, who are a part of the Avadi Learning Center in India. When Mathan received his first letter from his Guna & Giri, he was excited to see that they were writing in his native tongue – a great surprise since there are over fifteen official languages in India! Mathan and Adeline have been so moved by what God has been doing in the lives of their sponsor children that they organized a sponsorship event to be held at their monthly Indian Christian Fellowship meeting.
Not only did a number of their friends donate funds to help support the Mandavai Kuppam VisionTrust Learning Center in India, but three children were sponsored during the event as well. And one of those children, Arun Kumar, was sponsored by Mathan and Adeline!
As the event was wrapping up, Mathan and his wife were already talking about ways to continue to get more friends and family members involved in bringing the love and hope of Jesus to the children of VisionTrust India. Their dedication and heart to transform the lives of the poor and the fatherless is a testimony to what amazing things can happen when we truly embrace Jesus’ commandment to “love each other in the same way I have loved you” (John 15:12). Thank you to the Jebaraj family and the Capital District Indian Christian Fellowship for transforming the lives of children in India and beyond!
