I praise God for a safe arrival in Bangui, Central African Republic this morning! It’s great to be here, but I have to tell you, after being here a little over 12 hours, I’ve heard some pretty horrific stories of things that have happened since the overthrow of the government in March. And some of those incidents are continuing today. So, please don’t forget to pray for God to work here to bring peace and calm as you pray for the goal of getting the orphan work up and working again.
I did want to share a major prayer request with you. Edmond’s wife, Nadine, is with their youngest child, Edna Lucienne, in the hospital. Edna was born last December, so this little 6-month-old is a pretty sick little girl. She has been hospitalized for a little over a week with what appeared to be some sort of bronchitis. But the doctors were not satisfied that they had gotten to the bottom of what her true illness was. So they had some tests run through the Institut Pasteur here in Bangui, which is like the French version of the CDC. I found out about an hour ago that the tests turned out positive for bacterial meningitis. So, please be praying for God to intervene and bring healing to this little girl, and that He would continue to strengthen Nadine as she deals with this. It’s been a rough last few months for her, between the rebellion & unrest, and her husband’s death in April. Pray that the strong antibiotics that Edna is now on to take care of the issue and bring her back to health.
Praise God that I was able to bring out some gifts from donors through VisionTrust for Nadine. His timing is perfect. I’m sure that the gifts will be a huge encouragement.
Thanks for praying!
With you for the nations,
