Vinotha lives in India. As a very small child, her mother suffered with a mental disorder. Because of this, her dad left their family and married another woman. Vinotha’s grandfather took her mother to a hospital where she could get treatment. When Vinotha was in third grade, her mother got out of the hospital and came to live in a place called Kazhikuppam.
After that her mother started attending church and later resided in a house behind the church. At that time Vinotha lived with her father and stepmother but she was treated abusively there, so she left and came to stay with her mother. She joined the VisionTrust Learning Center and started hearing about Jesus Christ. Her sister also came to stay with her mother. When her sister was studying in 11th grade, she was highly depressed and scarcely ate and spoke with others. She started talking to herself. This lasted for almost 3 months.
Vinotha says, “I knew nothing else other than praying to God about this. I worried a lot about my sister. I prayed and read Bible every day. In about 6 months my sister and my mother were cured. God heard my prayers and answered them. My sister goes to school regularly. She came first in her 12th grade exams in school. God answered my prayers and has given me what I wished for and even bigger than them. I praise God for VisionTrust for introducing Jesus in my life.”

“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” 1 John 5:14-15
Ways you can get involved:
Think of someone you know with special needs and take time to pray for them. Think of one way you can serve them or let you know you care.
